We were driving to Charleston SC a few Sunday’s ago and as usual we are constantly monitoring the weather.  I check the weather on my phone and the forecast shows scattered rain, but I think to myself it will be ok.  The weather has been so whacky lately.  Zech is only in town for the weekend from Afghanistan, so it is not something that we can re-schedule any time soon.   We arrive at Middleton Place and the skies are dark, but no big deal.   As soon as Rachel and Zech get out of the car it starts to rain.. Oh my goodness!  You have got to be kidding me.  Again, we say…it’s no big deal.  We have photographed in the rain before.  So, we start the session.  As soon as we step foot onto the first path to the gardens, it starts to pour!!  And I mean pour!!  It was one of those situations where you just can’t believe it is happening.  Poor Rachel spent 2 hours at a salon getting her hair and makeup done.  They were both so amazing about the whole ordeal.   We had to cancel!! Ugh!  We decided to move the session to the morning because here again, it is not something we could re-schedule anytime soon with Zech being overseas.   We also decided to attempt some beach shots that night hoping the storm would be far enough away that Folly Beach would be clear.  Lucky for us, it was not raining and the skies were absolutely beautiful.  It was also very nice the following morning for their session at Middleton Place.  Everything turned out perfect!   I was so happy for Rachel and Zech!!!

We always enjoy working with local vendors in Anderson.. We recently did a promo shoot with The Perfect Dress at the Bleckley Inn and are super happy with the final product!!  Flowers were provided by Frilly Bloomers!  Our favorites from the session are below.  But first, I just want to put a plug in for each one of these vendors as they are great and we recommend them all!

1. The Perfect Dress.. They are awesome!  We have worked with them in the past and we always have such a wonderful time.  If you are in the market for a wedding dress, you should check out their dress shop off of Main Street/Clemson Blvd in Anderson.  We have always heard great things from our brides who have purchased their weddings gown from them!  PS.. they also rent tuxes.

2. Bleckley Inn We have worked at the Carriage House at the Bleckley Inn several times now since they have opened their doors and it has always been a fantastic experience.  Definitely a nice venue from a photographer’s perspective..lot’s of neat textures, doorways, etc…   They recently finished the Inn side with 14 beautiful rooms and it is really neat that the bride and groom have a place to stay at their wedding reception (if they choose).  It is a perfect venue if you are looking to get married in Anderson!!

3.  Frilly Bloomers.. We have also worked with Adina several times in the past and her work is always so impressive.. She is very creative and we have also heard nothing but good things from our brides!! You should check her out if you are in need of a florist!
