After an initial tenfold increase within the period of one week, the general trend was a gradual decrease in the incorporation of cystine per protein.

I n most instances, feather-like structures which developed from 7-day skin cells, a n d in a few cases those which developed from 8- or 9-day skin cells, were in most respects no different from structures which arose from skin cells which had been in culture for several weeks (Fig. 8).
